I am a semiretired technology executive having retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers after 14 years as a technology futureist (I assessed the implications of emerging technologies. Prior to that I was a technology executive for both large (DHL, Hughes Aircraft, McDonnell Douglas Aircraft (now Boeing)) and small companies (Grubb & Ellis, small HMO). In addition I ran my own service business starting it from scratch to over $3 million in sales when it was bought. To keep active and interested, my wife and I started an online retail business (Your SMART Kitchen) selling quality kitchenware and related products. This business allows us to meet new and intersting people, add to our retirement funds, and still provides time for golf, travel and other interests.
